On June 17th, Governor Jindal announced that a new car company creating a new American car will take over the former Guide Corp plant in Monroe.  V-Vehicle Company, with HQ in San Diego, is designing a a high quality, environmentally friendly and fuel-efficient car for the U.S. market. The goal of the company is to provide the American car buyer greater product value and a superior automotive experience.

This project will nearly double the size of the existing 425,000 sq foot facility and will create 1,400 new jobs.
