Governor Bobby Jindal and local officials attended the ribbon-cutting for the official opening of the Monroe office of Computer Programs and Systems, Inc (CPSI), a Mobile, AL based healthcare information technology company that designs, develops, markets, installs and supports computerized information technology systems to meet the demands of small and midsize hospitals in the U.S.

Over the first four years of its operations, CPSI expects to create 100 direct new jobs, with 45 hired to date, and 51 indirect new jobs.
